Many thanks to the amazing Jeremy Garrett at Hidden Tracks Recording Studio and also, of course, to the owlmouth musicians. Please check back in coming weeks as we upload new material for you to hear.

You can also listen to a read (sans owlmouth musicians) of two pieces from owlmouth that were first published in Spring 2015 by Room Magazine—Canada’s Oldest Literary Journal By and About Women for their In Translation issue (38.1).

Owlmouth Musicians

Michael Campbell (acoustic, electric guitar) is a singer-songwriter known for purposeful melody and evocative storytelling in the likes of Marshall Crenshaw, Paul Simon and James Taylor. An original member of The Corner Boys, his solo albums include Anything for You (1990),  Arborville (1993), Used Without Permission (1998), and his most recent full-length release My Turn Now, in 2015. Of Mice and Me, Campbell's collection of humor essays, is now available in print and eBook editions.

Matt Michaelsen

Matt Michaelsen (drums, percussion) has been making music since early childhood. As a drummer/percussionist he has contributed to several Midwest music projects including 24 Hour Cardlock, The Ronnys, Owlmouth, Goodbye Sunday, Vago, Kill Bosby, Miracle Men and The Eye. Matt is a diverse musician that has accomplished himself mostly in the Americana, pop punk and alternative rock genres. Music is his longest enduring creative outlet but in recent years he’s developed a passion for landscape photography and videography and is a licensed drone pilot with his business, High Note Aerial Photography.

Bill Arab (bass, noise) has been playing pieces of wood with strings on them in bands for a few decades. He’s probably played in more bands you’ve never heard of than anyone you’ve ever heard of. Bill currently plays guitar in The Pink Flamingos (Omaha), leads his own band, 24 Hour Cardlock, and plays and records with other Omaha bands. Bill also writes Evil Dud, an independent print comic book.
